Eco Club

♦ Thirteen students from 1^st BCom and 1^st BSc Psychology participated in various events, including poem recitation, light music, short story writing, group song, and patriotic song, at the A Zone Arts competition conducted by Calicut University at Najath College, Mannarkkad, from January 28-31 and February 1, 2025.
♦The Ground Water Department of Kerala conducted a workshop on the topic 'Importance of Groundwater Conservation' at the Kollengode Block Panchayat Hall on 18 November 2024. Twenty-two students from the Eco Club of Aashrayam College participated in the programme.

Aim
♠ To create awareness and sensitivity among the students about the environment and the need to conserve it.
♠ To enable the members to become the role model and change agents on the conservation front, within the campus and in the community around.
♠ To make all the students in the campus water champions and tree warriors.

Activities
♠ The members ensure cleanliness in public places by removing waste materials and sensitizing the public about responsible waste disposal.
♠ Organizing nature camps for the students in order to equip them for building environmental awareness.
♠ Drive the tree plantation and water conservation campaigns inside the campus in the nearby villages.
♠ Naming and protecting the mango trees grown in the campus.
